New freebie

Digital Scrap Garden is running a new Colour Challenge this month to use Pink and Purples in your layout. Funny how you can look at a colour and think.. easy peasy... and then find out it is not as easy as you first thought. I always try to include new things in my kits and not have them look like each other and like all the other kits out there. Wonder if I am achieving this. Do you feel you are getting the same stuff over and over, just different colours?? Please leave a comment and let me know. I would love to know your thoughts.

New freebie and THANKYOU!

I am blown away! Yesterday I posted about Gary having surgery and people left comments wishing us well. Thankyou all so much, I really appreciate that you took time out to comment even though you weren't getting anything in return!! I did manage to speak to him last night and he sounded a little drunk! LOL he assured me that he was pressing the button for the Morphine when needed and it sounded as though it was working :) I will ring again this morning to see how he went through the night. It is a shame at times like this that we live so far away from the hospital and petrol is so expensive.... not so easy just to pop in and visit!

Digital Scrap Garden is very organised this month. A lot of their challenges are already posted for June including my favourite.... the Garden Rainbow Challenge! Karen set us a challenge to create a layout or mini kit using only the colour Green! This was indeed a challenge but I am pleased with the way my Kit turned out and I hope you like it as well!

New kit for Mother's Day

New layout

I have just completed a layout that I was able to use for a couple of challenges on different sites. These are some photos of my daycare children when I was working in childcare, making funny faces. One of the children is showing a genuine emotion and I couldn't resist the picture. However, the other children all made up faces so that they could have their photos taken as well!

I have used the gorgeous DSG Oct09 Collab available HERE and the funny faces are personal cutter files for Shelly's Art Pumpkin Faces available HERE.

Another freebie Quickpage

Well I have been away for the computer for a while, and still not on line much as I fell off my computer chair and hurt my arm! We have office chairs on wheels on a wooden floor, the chairs are supposed to sit on little mats to stop them slipping but this rug had completely slipped out from under the chair and then the chair slipped out from under me!! Unfortunately, I caught the chair with my right arm and brought the chair down on top of me OUCH!

But, I was thinking of you all in through my pain and suffering (Yeah right, I hear you say) and have started a new series of Quickpages for you to download. This series is created with my latest kit, Autumn Stroll, available in my Store at DSG (click on the side bar graphic to take you there)

New layouts!

I have been so busy of late :) We have had my third daughter to stay, before she starts a new career as an Au Pair in Virginia in the USA. Such a long way from Australia, but I am sure she will have a ball and the family is lucky to have her!

Then my In-Laws came for a few days! That was wonderful. They love gardening and they worked themselves spare whilst they were here cleaning up the massive garden that we have in this house! The house looks so much neater now and we got rid of plants that were damaging the structure of the walls, so that was great!

And to top it off, Nicholas had a couple of friends over for the weekend. Teenage boys love loud music, double meanings, and bugs! We had a bonfire, and they all morphed into pyromaniacs! but it was a lot of fun and they didnt burn the place down, so all is well LOL

But..... in between all this chaos... I got some layouts done and want to share!

There are lots of Challenges going on at Digital Scrap Garden and I have just recently finished this one. This Template Challenge (where you get a FREE template) was "All about Me" and I took a different approach! This layout features a letter written to me by my DH, Gary... isnt he great!

another layout I had to create to day was based around a photo of my eldest daughter not feeling well, on a recent visit we made to their home! I was visiting one of my favourite Blogs, Scrapbook Circus and found this freebie! Isnt it just made for this layout! Although "Nurse Rachet" is a personal cutter file, Char also supplied a bmp that made it easy to use the file on my digital scrap page!.

New Challenges posted today!

Another month is upon us, first day of Spring here in Australia, wish I felt a bit warmer though LOL

I have just finishing my new challenges at DSG and also the Template Challenge at DSS.

Unless I get more response to my Template challenge at DSS, this will be my last month hosting this challenge. It is sad to see my work being downloaded and no layouts being posted in the Gallery. This has taken me far too long....

but now I at least I am finally getting around to ............. Drum Roll Please

Introducing my great friend Pam as an official Designer at Digital Scrap Garden. She sells under the name of "On My Own Designs", and her stuff is gorgeous! New freebie - Mar09 CC at DSG

I have finally finished my kit for the Mar09 Colour Challenge at Digital Scrap Garden. I love these colours. It was quite funny, there was a gap between making the papers and finishing the kit. I named it "Washed Out" and then noticed the swatch was called "Spring Rain" which I had completely ignored when I started designing :)
