Been busy today

I have been busy with my cutter today, which is great for the Designers I CT for, but I sure am getting ready to sit in front of the air-conditioner again. There is no cooling in my scrapbook room and it is 30C in here at the moment.

This first card has been created using a file from Tina from Card-i-ology Creations. It is TM00003 - I Dig Gardening. Although perfect for a scrapbook layout garden theme, I decided it would make the perfect card front for a "Happy (Birthday) Gardening" Card. I also found the perfect ribbon to go with my card colours and theme!

This next card is using a file from Chris from Visual Designs By Chris. It is from the latest QMC and is called "Fancy Edges Collection" . I have used the circular design from the file and resized it slightly to fit on my 5X5" card front. You can still join this membership in the Store and it is a bargain!

This next file is also from the QMC and is to create the Heart Treat bag. This is a gorgeous file specially designed by Chris to fill with treats for your Honey for Valentine's. I however, decided it made a great card holder for the cards I am currently working on LOL so I have posted both pictures, one with my cards in it, and one without!

I should also mention that all the Designer's at Visual Designs By Chris and The More Team create files in ALL formats including separated files for your Cricut. Head over to the Store and see what you can find. Several sales are on at the moment as well!

Thanks for looking,

Have a great day wherever you are!

New creation using RM00014 - Fall Tree Leaves

This digital personal cutter file, RM00014-Fall Tree Leaves by RSMobleys Designs is gorgeous! I am a huge fan of Autumn and Fall designs and couldn't wait to use this one.

I have used the file to create a Valentine's Day card with a difference.

This card was created to show that digital personal cutter files can be used very successfully on your computer!

I took the leaf files that Sharon had created, duplicated them and added styles and textures. I added a wood style to the tree and created the papers that I used.

Add-On for "Nice'N'Icy" kit! freebie

Here is the first of a couple of Add-On's for my "Nice'N'Icy" kit. When I designed the kit in the first place, I made lots of snowflakes to go with it as it suited the theme of the kit. However, when I went to use it or another project, I found I really missed not having any flowers to play with.... so...... I made a selection of flowers. These follow the same colour scheme and really extend the uses for the kit! I hope you find this also!

Have a great day wherever you are!

PS. I will be removing the links for the "Nice'N'Icy" kit tonight, so if you don't already have the kit, make sure you get it today!

New KNK Swap at Paperthreads

Whilst I am in the mood for playing on my cutter, I joined a Swap over at Paperthreads. This swap is for owners of Klic-N-Kut machines or KNK Studio GE software who would like to swap KNK format files! Everyone that takes part creates one file and then gets a copy of everyone's files! So... the more people that take part, the more files you get to play with... and don't forget ... this is all for FREE!

All the details can be found HERE. So if you have a KNK and want to try your hand at designing, come join in and have some fun!

I have already created my file for this challenge... wanna clue.... it is a game we used to play as kids... with things to climb up and get ahead, but watch out.. there are also slippery little things that you can slide down and make your journey to the end more difficult!

So come join in !

Countdown to Valentine's Day

I saw this tutorial on WhimsieDoodles Blog (see side bar for link) and decided that I wanted to try and recreate the result but using my KNK Maxx. I spent ALL day designing the files needed to cut out the project on my KNK and here is the result. It is soooooooo cute! I love it!

The base for the Countdown Calendar is a 4" square. It has two layers of tags on it that have little hearts on them with the numbers 1-3 on the left hand side and 0-9 on the right hand side. This means that you can countdown 30 days (or even 39 if you wish LOL ) to the "big day"!! I used my "Bind-It-All" to bind the project, however you could use split rings, which would work just as well.

Side view shows the joining hinge, although I am not sure that it really needs it! It seemed quite stable without it.

This file is only available in KNK format for personal cutters that use this type of file. Please don't download unless you have one of these machines, I don't want you to be disappointed.

New Valentine's Day Card - RM00041

This is one of Sharon's newest files available in the Visual Designs by Chris and the More Team Store. Sharon has just added three different Valentine's Day Cards to the Store and this is number 3. This digital cutter file is available HERE .

One of the papers I have used is a gold paper from Paper Temptress as part of my gift from Chris ( thanks Chris).

This file comes with two titles and a gorgeous eyelet lace scalloped mat. This is a lovely file to cut and play with.

I used the second title inside my card and also used all the little hearts from the mat that is on the front of the card to decorate the inside!

Happy Valentine's Day card - CD00650

This is the most recent addition to this quarter's QMC over at Visual Designs By Chris and the More Team!

Seems like everyone has Valentine on their minds and "Love is in The Air" ! This digital cutter file has two layers. The card body also has the heart shapes cut into the front of it. To set that off, there is a second layer that slips in behind the front and includes the greeting "Happy Valentine's Day". It is really effective and I love the way it goes together.

You too can get this, and many other digital cutter files, by joining this QMC in the Store.

Of course, I have used my Stickles to outline the hearts, I love these things! and I used a few little extra hearts on the front to add a little more.

Thanks for looking,

cheers, caz

Another Year begins and so does another QMC at Visual Designs by Chris. This layout uses CD00639 - Out Of This World which was a file available in the last of QMC in 2009.

I took the file and enlarged it to fill my 12X12 inch page to work as my background. I applied a style to the Title to raise it and make it stand out.

This is a picture taken of my son recently acting silly, as usual! I did ask him why all the pictures I have of him lately have him sticking out his tongue, but he just laughed. I guess it must be a teen boy thing! LOL

Nevertheless, he truly is "Out Of This World" to me!

Double layout using TM00066

Tina from Card-i-ology Creations has a wonderful collection of files in her Store. This is one of her earlier collections, TM00066 - 1st Day At School .

I used Tina's files digitally this time and created a layout to celebrate Nicholas's time at Kindergarten. I have applied styles to the apples, the frame and the titles. The digital kit is mine.

New Creations using DW00329 - Paper Flowers

Diana has just uploaded several new digital cutter collections to her Store at Paperthreads. Here are some things I created using just one of those collections - Paper Flowers.

This layout is of my bestest online friend Pam. I had sent here an Australian T-Shirt and pen set which she showed off for the camera! I used heaps of flowers and leaves from this collection to decorate this layout!

DW00022 - Just Chillin'

Aren't these little penguins and polar bears so cute! This layout was created using DW00022 - Just Chillin'

This is a digital personal cutter file, cuts beautifully and really adds to this layout!

Perfect for these pictures of Nicholas's first experience with snow!
Happy New Year all!
