Next Freebie Installment

Well, we have been enjoying some much needed rain here over the last 12 hrs. One downside though, is that Rebekah and Chris are visiting and now have to negotiate the slippery slope that yesterday was our driveway! and in a standard car. Even our 4 wheel drive gets a little anxious! So I think we will escort them out to make sure they are okay til they hit the bitumen.

Thought I would take advantage of the house being asleep, and post the next Quickpage from Garden Song for you.

Link to download Quickpage Three HERE Link removed. I still have the links active for the other pages, so if this is your first visit, scroll down and snag them all. Please leave a comment if you download, I really appreciate them. oops! forgot to tell you if you need a password, it is "butterflies" without the quotes!

37 Followers.... I am so honoured that so many of you want to keep up with what is going on, on my Blog!

Frugal Friday Special at Shelly's Art

It's Friday again and that means another Frugal Friday special at Shelly's Art. This Friday the files are SS00022 - Gotta Have Arrows and SS00172 - Gotta have Arrows Digital Template, both available for $1.00 each this Friday only.

Here are a couple of projects I have created using these files. Firstly, a card using SS00022 as well as a digital stamp from Dustin Pike.

I created a Card Base cutter file for this card and used cardstock by DCWV and Creative Memories (CM). The title stickers are CM and the brads are by Craft Affair and I inked all the edges with Versa Color Cubes.

This layout has been created digitally in Photoshop using my "Boy Stuff" kit. I used SS00172 for this creation, a digital template very easy to use in your photo editing software.

Thanks for looking!

Updated my TOU - Please read!

Hi all, I have had an occasion to update my TOU. I thought I had covered everything, but there is always something new coming along :)

My TOU reads that my Kits are for PERSONAL USE ONLY. It did state that they could be used to create flattened images for another, however, I have removed this permission to avoid any confusion with what constitutes a flattened image. I do not give permission for my Kits to be used to create items for others at all (free or otherwise). This amendment is active from today and applies to ALL my work, downloaded either previously or from today. It also applies to all my work you may have previously purchased. If you come to my Blog and download, this download is for your personal use only. If you want to create layouts with my kit, and I hope you do as that I why I design them, those creations are for your use only. You cannot create a layout for someone else. Someone really creative created a Blog header on their Blog with my kit! This is fine, but it is NOT okay to create Blogwear for others even if you wish to give it away.

Sorry if this reads a bit harshly, but I am no longer making anything out of my work, and I am happy to see that others are enjoying my work as freebies, but I have to draw the line at my work being shared on to others in any form. I hope you understand.

A huge thanks to those of you that like my work enough to keep coming back. Another huge thanks to those of you that consistantly leave a comment! I really appreciate it.

Thanks for listening!

A quickie...

no.... not that sort of quickie LOL

A couple of people have asked about printing digital layouts when leaving me a comment. I just wanted to pop in quickly and say that I rarely print my digital layouts at 12X12", although I do own a HP Officejet Pro K850. I complete my layouts in Photoshop, then save for web. Then I resize to 8X8" at 300dpi and print on my Epson Photo R290. This gives me a copy of my layout that will fit in a smaller album, it fits on an A4 photo sheet, and it no where near as expensive. The really important layouts are printed at 12X12", but for myself, 8X8" gives me a perfect print that I can show off and still see all the details!

Hope this helps!

What's Cookin'

Here is a card I created using a personal cutter file by Diana's Designs from Paperthreads. I used DW00003-Witches Brew, a file that would typically be used for Halloween, but I wanted to create something that was a bit more everyday and this is the result. I went mad with my Kindy Glitz (Stickles) and made lots of bubbles coming out of the Brew! LOL

quite pleased with the way it turned out :)

Card created using CD00692

Here is a card I have created using CD00692-Sheep, a digital cutter file (Cricut, Pazzles, KNK etc) from the 2nd Quarter of Chris's membership club.

I have created this card in Photoshop and added styles and textures to add dimension to the files. The papers are from my "Meadows" kit (see below for links to download).

A Hug

is worth a thousand words!

I created this card using TM00118-Diamond Flower Inserts by Tina from Card-i-ology Creations. I took one of the flower inserts, there are five in the file, copied and reversed it and then reshaped my card mat to follow the diamond shape of the inserts.

I then used the pen tool on my KNK to write my sentiment. The "HUG" word comes from a Pen Alpha designed by Jan of Sam and Hailey designs at Paperthreads.

More Sewing :) and BIG NEWS

Recently my daughter (Rebekah) and son-in-law (Chris) became Aunt and Uncle for the first time to Chris's sister new baby. I have spent some of the last week making a cute little Dollie for Adelaide that is safe for a little one.

Isn't she cute!

And now.... for the BIG NEWS!!

Rebekah and Chris are expecting a little one of their own! They have been trying for ages (over 4 yrs) , been through surgery, a million tests, and registered for IVF and suddenly!!!!!

They are only seven weeks at the moment so it is early days, but I can't wait any longer to share the fantastic news that I am going to be a Nanna!! Rebekah is already fed up with morning sickness but the Dr told her that this is a sign of a strong pregnancy, so she feels a little better now :)

I am so excited for them and us! I still cannot believe that we are finally getting to be Grandparents :)

New installment for Easter freebie

Thank you to Ginger, Robbie and Lisa who left me comments on my sewing :) That was a lovely surprise to open up this morning. Nicholas comes home tomorrow night so will finally see his jumper, and he and Gary are going out fishing on Monday, so maybe they will wear them out together then LOL

Here are the last installments for my Sweet Easter Kit. I have posted both links that are still outstanding so that you have the whole kit to use for your Easter photos. Please feel free to email me with your use of my kits, I love seeing my work used rather than just adding to your collection of freebies LOL

Not paper related!

I was in two minds whether to post this here or my other Blog, this one won out as this is mainly where I share my creative stuff. It has been AGES since I have done anything crafty much that didn't involve paper and card. I cut these jumpers/sweatshirts out last Easter (as in 2009) and it has taken 12 months for me to get around to finally putting them together.

Doesn't Gary look very commanding.... or daft! depending on your thoughts LOL

This is the jumper for Nicholas. He has grown so much in 12 months that I added bands on the sleeves and the body to take this into account. He isn't here at the moment so I had to use his school jumper as a pattern for length so hopefully this will be perfect with some growing room!

Wondering on the choice of fabric.... they are constructed from Polar Fleece and the pattern chosen by my bug-mad son! I bought enough to make Nicholas a jumper and a blanket, but Gary decided he wanted a jumper to match, so no blanket ! LOL

Can't wait to see the looks as they wear these out of the house. I made Gary a jumper a few years ago with brightly coloured cats all over it, and he wore it everywhere. He received many raised eyebrows LOL

Sketch Challenge at Visual Designs by Chris and the More Team

Visual Designs by Chris and the More team is also holding a Sketch Challenge in their Forum. You get a sketch for inspiration and also free cutter files (Klic-N-Kut, Pazzles, Cricut etc) to help you with your layout.

Here is my layout. I have used CD00520-Ribbon3, CD00557-Bone Jumble and CD00685-Beloved Pet (not in the Store just yet) for this layout. These are some pics of our gorgeous boxer, Mollie!

Sketch Challenge at Paperthreads

Paperthreads is holding a new Sketch Challenge for this month. You have a sketch for inspiration and get a free cutter (Klic-N-Kut, Cricut, Pazzles etc) file for signing up and have a chance to win another file or gorgeous paper from Paper Temptress.

This is my layout. The pictures are of my gorgeous nephew Luke who lives in Japan. I asked a friend of mine to knit him a jumper for his birthday with an Australian animal on the front and this is the result. Fortunately Luke loved it!

I have used several cutter files digitally, DW00033-Circle and Oval Spirelli and DW00340-Swirls, on this page as well as SS00085-Spring Splendor, a digital scraping kit.

Frugal Friday Special at Shelly's Art

Hi there, a few days ago I announced that I had joined Shelly's CDT. Every Friday she has a Frugal Friday special. For today only she is featuring her build a binder clip cutter file or her digital build a clip template used for digital scrapbooking and card making for only $1.00! Hurry though the price will magically disappear at midnight EST today April 2, 2010.

This is a layout I created using Shelly's Spring Splendor Digital Scrapbooking kit which is on sale the whole month of April! and her "Build a Clip Template". This kit is full of beautiful elements, and I love the colours Shelly has used when creating this kit.

The flower is a blossom from one of the trees we have in our yard, I was really pleased with the way this photo turned out. I used Shelly's Binder Clip to attach my photo to my layout!

So head over to Shelly's Blog and see what else she has to share.... including a freebie!!

Another Add-on for "WildFlowers"

Happy Easter all!

I have the first of two downloads for some Quickpages designed using elements from my WildFlowers kit. These are used in the same way as the Bragbook Album but are sized 12X12 inches.

Link to download Part One HERE Link removed. Password if required is "springtime" without the quotes. Please leave a comment if you download. I really love reading them and I am so happy to see that there are people out there in the WWW that like my stuff enough to take the time to download it. A point about the download zip. For some reason 4Shared is not saving my files with their full name, so make sure you rename the zips to add a number to them otherwise you will overwrite the first zip download with the second one.

Just a note - you should have all seven zips for the original kit now, but as a special treat, if you don't have them, they are all still active. If you click on the Wildflowers tag, that will bring up all the posts for this kit and you can snag all the links. I am leaving all the links for this kit and Add-ons active til after Easter, so don't miss out!

Have a wonderful day wherever you are!
