DSS celebrations still going!

My Mother's Day Card

I just had to share the card I received from my 13 year old son yesterday. He secretly made me a card, ruining my tape runner in the process LOL, but that was a small price to pay for this gorgeous hand-made gift of love. The front of the card is layered and in the centre over the diamond, is a rectangle with an embossed butterfly on it. Nicholas loves playing with my scrapping tools, and loves card making :)

and he inscribed it with this message!

isn't he gorgeous, and don't you just wanna go "AWWWWWWW!!"

I got all choked up :) Thank you Nicholas for a beautiful card!

New layout for VDBC

As soon as I saw this file I knew I had the perfect photos for it. It has always been a favourite pastime of my family to enjoy roasting marshmallows when we have a campfire going. This night was no exception. These are some photos of my son and my youngest daughter enjoying the fruits of their labours.

New layout for Scraplift Challenge

Hi all, hope you are all well :) I have a new layout to post today. I completed the Scraplift Challenge at DSS where we had to scraplift one of littlebehr's layouts. I picked Donna's Tulip layout to scraplift, although it was hard to choose as they are all so great!
I turned Donna's layout on it's side and used it to show off a photo of Nicholas a few years ago catching his first fish of the Port Broughton Jetty in South Australia.
I have also used Sharon Langford Design's Tropical kit available at Inspiration Lane.

and the good news for you is that I have created a Quickpage from my layout for all of you to use!

New Challenges at Inspiration Lane

I almost forgot to post these challenges that I am hosting at Inspiration Lane. I am giving a free Template to use for Template challenge and you can earn points to use as cash in the Store. This is a photo of a Dinosaur Quilt that my 13yo son, Nicholas, made. He started off with the panel and then had to measure and cut the strips for all the borders. He had a friend of ours, Ruth, guiding him and I sewed the back of the binding but that is all the help he got. He did ALL the work himself. I am so very proud of him and he loves it!
I have used DinoSAUR by Sharon Langford Designs. As soon as I saw this kit, I wanted to use it to scrap this photo!.
