next Quickpage

so not happy!! We have used our Internet allowance for this month so everything now is charged at 5c/meg til the 1st of September. We have accepted this and were prepared to pay through the nose again! until last night I went to shut down my computer and the Usage Meter supplied by the ISP had recorded over 800Meg of use whilst we weren't even home. We are still arguing over usage we were charged for last month that we feel was incorrect, and now this... so mad!!

We had Parent/Teacher interviews yesterday afternoon and all of Nicholas's Teachers had the same thing to say.... very clever boy, lots of potential, not living up to it! They are all so nice at his School, really helpful, and they just want we want.... the best for him. Why is it that kids don't get this LOL

anyhow... I'm sure you don't visit to read my raves so without any more ado..... here is the 2nd Quickpage in this series.

Are you wireless?
If so, do you have it password protected?
Also, a lot of programs and such grab updates from the internet at any time if you have them set to automatic.
Best way to stop it all? Unplug your router when you leave the house :)
But yeah, I'd make sure you're protected and not supplying the neighbourhood with free internet :)

Thank you for the cute QP's Caroline - Love them both!
Hummmm, that does sound a bit weird, hope you can sort it out
not fun to have to pay for something youve already paid for!
Robbi without being able to use it!

Thanks Caz! sounds like program updates, your firewall settings, or wireless passwords. Turn off or unplugging the router is best.

Glad the teachers see N's potential. My 3rd son, the one I expect to use these pages for very soon, got similar feedback from his teachers. He's slowly getting the idea, but he hates having to work at his ability level. Robotics and computer programming are probably the only areas in which he tried harder. He's starting college now.
