Here are a couple more layouts I have finished for Challenges I was taking part in. The first Challenge was a Cutter Challenge over at ThatsScrapInc. It was to take one of the two files provided and use it in some way as well as "bling" it up. I shrank the file by 50% and used it on a card. I inked the edges of the stem and the flowers, added some bling to some of the flowers and then embossed (for the first time) around the edges, and on the bird, leaves and flowers. I was really quite pleased with the way it turned out. After I had put together the file, works a lot like paper piecing only with out all the cutting (hence the machine to do it for me), I stuck it to a card backing that I had put together in photoshop. I used papers from a kit I designed and then printed it out on card, then added the bird file.
The second layout is of my children, naturally :) this layout was for a Challenge being held by Blushbutter and Dusty's yahoo group. You need to join the group to participate, but for this challenge, you then get a coupon to get the mini kit "Dream Come True" for free!!
Journalling reads:
A long long time ago, feels like a whole lifetime ago, I was told by a very respected Doctor that I had about a one in a million chance of ever falling pregnant. I was devastated. All I ever wanted to be was a Mum. But many years later, God has truly smiled on me and given me all of you. Dreams really can Come True.
Thank goodness is all I can say! I would not be me without them!
